Sustainable Development in Communities Workshop

Sustainable development does not focus solely on environmental issues, but more broadly encompass three general policy areas: economic, environmental and social. As such, Sustainable Development has been identified as a way of thinking in terms of the broader picture. Sustainable Development will place more emphasis on interacting with end-use customers
and take a more holistic approach to energy production, consumption, conservation and overall
community design to meet the needs of today without jeopardizing the ability of future generations to meet their needs.

Hello Frank,
You have posted some very interesting projects and information here. I am especially interested in your post about waste heat recovery. Currently, I don't believe that much is being done to capture the potential energy that is lost during the production of electricity. By harnessing the waste heat, we'd be on the path to sustainable energy for generations to come.
Thank you for the work that you do.
Adam.

Hi Adam:
Thanks for kind words and support. I met with people in the engineering faculty at McMaster University on how to initiate a project using funds from the Centre of Excellence (OCE) for Energy. OCE has been contacted and like the idea. The next step is to find matching funds to trigger OCE funding. I plan to have approached Horizon Utilities for co-funding. I hope to hear back from them shortly.
Best Regards
